When is the best time to attend the Parenting School Somewhat Differently – childbirth and parenting preparation classes?

Parenting School Somewhat Differently represents the most comprehensive childbirth and parenting preparation, which I recommend no later than the 30th week of pregnancy. Within the scheduled group, there are also live online meetings every two weeks. From the first to the last group meeting, one month passes. Due to the extensive content, plan to attend the first in-person meeting from the 27th week of pregnancy and find the most suitable date among those listed using the EDD calculator.

This is the time when you’re already thinking about childbirth and the postpartum period, but you and your partner still have enough time to resolve certain dilemmas based on the information received, answer any open questions, and make decisions that will be best for your new family.

When I'm 27 - 30. weeks pregnant, there's no Parenting School Somewhat Differently scheduled or the group is already full. What now?

If there’s no group scheduled during your 27th – 30. week or it’s already full, you can purchase the MAXI Package.

If you still have unresolved questions after viewing the content, you can book an appointment for Individual Consultation.

This way you have your own individual childbirth and parenting preparation.

What's the difference between the individual online lectures?

The online lectures Childbirth, Postpartum Period, Breastfeeding and Infant Feeding, and About the Newborn are designed for thorough childbirth and parenting preparation and are included in Parenting School Somewhat Differently and MAXI Package. If you choose the preparation as part of Parenting School Somewhat Differently, you have ALL the necessary online content covered and there’s no need to purchase anything additional.

You can also purchase all these lectures separately if you don’t need all 4 topics or if you’re too late to attend Parenting School Somewhat Differently and there are no available dates. This way you also have access to the same information. So there’s no difference.

But be careful when purchasing individual online lectures!

The online lecture Childbirth also includes Birth Positions, Everything About Cesarean Section, and Contractions and Labor Pain, so you do NOT need to purchase these two topics separately!

The online lecture Breastfeeding and Infant Feeding also includes What Do I Need to Know for a Successful Start to Breastfeeding?, so again in this “larger” lecture you have everything covered, both about what you need to know for a successful start to breastfeeding as well as complementary feeding, breastfeeding difficulties, and more.

And third, the online lecture About the Newborn also includes the content Bathing and Handling the Baby.

EXAMPLES:

So don’t purchase About the Newborn and also Bathing and Handling the Baby, because Bathing and Handling the Baby is already included in the online lecture About the Newborn and you would be duplicating content!

If you’re only interested in content for a successful start to breastfeeding, purchase the online lecture What Do I Need to Know for a Successful Start to Breastfeeding? But if you want to prepare for possible complications and different methods of complementary feeding, then the right choice for you is Breastfeeding and Infant Feeding, which will provide you with information for both starting breastfeeding and possible difficulties and their solutions.

If you know you’ll be having a cesarean section, the online lecture Everything About Cesarean Section is suitable for you. If you want to prepare as much as possible for childbirth and also a possible cesarean section, then choose the online lecture Childbirth. If you feel you have enough information about childbirth, labor pain, the partner’s role during childbirth, and cesarean section, but would like to know more about birth positions, you’ll choose the online lecture Birth Positions.

Is there a difference in information if I attend Parenting School Somewhat Differently or just purchase the online lectures?

Regarding the online lectures Childbirth, Postpartum Period, Breastfeeding and Infant Feeding, and About the Newborn, the content is completely identical. The content is designed for thorough childbirth and parenting preparation and is included in Parenting School Somewhat Differently. If you choose the preparation as part of Parenting School Somewhat Differently, you have ALL the content covered and there’s no need to purchase anything additional.

But if you attend Parenting School Somewhat Differently, you also receive:

  • three live online meetings with me in small groups, where I answer your questions and dilemmas and provide support throughout the entire preparation and afterward
  • access to a private Facebook group
  • the option to review and comment on birth plans

When do you recommend viewing the Everyday Tips content?

I recommend starting to view the online lecture Everyday Tips from week 16 onward. This content is also accessible for 14 weeks. After this time, it’s ideal to continue with the Parenting School Somewhat Differently content or choose your own combination of online lectures.

Is Parenting School Somewhat Differently suitable for everyone?

It depends 🙂

Yes, if you want to receive a lot of verified information, want to prepare as well as possible for childbirth and the postpartum period with examples and experiences from practice and practical exercises, and you like live meetings.

No, if you don’t have time to view online content totaling 30 hours and if you don’t want group live meetings, meaning if this type of preparation seems too extensive, too long, too demanding, and you don’t think preparation for childbirth and parenting is important.

I purchased Parenting School Somewhat Differently, but I can't access the lectures. Why?

By purchasing Parenting School Somewhat Differently, you have secured a spot for the live group meetings that will take place on the scheduled dates you signed up for.

One week before the first group meeting of your group, access to the online content will be available. You’ll also receive all information by email upon completing your order.

Therefore, upon completing the purchase of Parenting School Somewhat Differently, you won’t automatically have content available for viewing in the dashboard under lectures.

My partner and I have some questions. Can we meet with you outside of the organized workshops?

Yes. You can book Individual Consultations.

Individual meetings are thematically and time-wise adapted to your wishes and needs.

How do I access the online content I purchased or that's available for free?

  1. Log in to the website mojababica.si with the email address or username you provided during registration and your password.

If you forgot your password, you can reset it by clicking Forgot password?

  1. Once you successfully log in, click on your user account – Lectures – and click on the desired lecture. On the first viewing, you need to click Continue. This will start the 14-week access period to this online content.

Keep your information secure (Terms of Service).

IMPORTANT! You can access the content as part of Parenting School Somewhat Differently only one week before the first online meeting you signed up for. Until then, you can view the free content.

Is access to online lectures time-limited after payment?

Yes, access is time-limited to 14 weeks from the start of viewing the purchased content. That is, from when you click the START button in each individual lecture, not from the purchase date. So for each lecture, the 14-week period starts individually from when you begin watching that particular lecture.

Can access to the content be extended?

No. Content is limited to 14 weeks (each individual lecture, starting from the beginning of viewing, not from purchase). During this time, you can view the content as many times as you want and take notes as needed.

If the meetings were live, more information would be lost. Experience shows that 14 weeks is more than enough time to view the content and for it to sink in. If you follow the recommended viewing schedule, the postpartum content will be accessible to you even in the first weeks after birth.

What payment options do I have?

Services can be paid for:

  • via direct payment with a payment card
  • with Apple Pay
  • with Google Pay
  • via invoice to the bank account of Moja babica, Institute for Women’s and Family Health Awareness and Development, Maribor

When you select “direct bank transfer” payment, your order will be held until payment confirmation is received. The payment deadline is 48 hours; if the amount is not settled, your order will be automatically canceled.

Parenting School Somewhat Differently can be paid in 3 installments. The last installment must be settled before the start of the first meeting. If paying in installments, please send me an email at nastja@mojababica.si

When will I receive access to the online content after making payment?

It depends on the payment method.

If you pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, access will automatically open immediately.

In the case of direct bank transfer, access will be granted after payment confirmation, which is processed once a week. You can also email proof of the completed transaction and access will be granted sooner.

You’ll also receive all instructions by email upon completing your order. Access to online content as part of Parenting School Somewhat Differently will be available one week before the first online meeting.

I started viewing the content, but today I can no longer access the portal because it says I have too many active logins. Why?

To prevent unauthorized sharing of access to content, which happened in the past, access is limited to 2 personal devices. This is stated in the Terms of Service and in the email upon completing your order.

You can access the content from a maximum of two devices. I recommend always using the same device for viewing and avoiding switching between networks (e.g., WiFi – mobile data), as the system may detect a new device and block access. When you finish viewing, I recommend logging out first. Don’t use the “private/incognito” browser mode, as this prevents saving sessions and cookies.

Do you offer childbirth and parenting preparation in English?

Video content is supported with subtitles in Slovenian, English, and Croatian.

Subtitles (SL / EN / HR) enable understanding for:

  • If you want to watch content in silence so as not to disturb others

Videos include manually created and some automatically generated subtitles. Despite careful work, minor grammatical errors may occur. Thank you for your understanding!

I have a gift voucher/discount code - how do I redeem it?

Each gift voucher has a personalized voucher number, which is also the discount code.

Before you complete your order, you’ll see a Summary of your order. Below this and above Subtotal, you’ll see Add coupon. On the right side, click the down arrow. A window will appear saying Enter code. Enter the discount code or, in the case of a gift voucher, the voucher number and click Apply.
