This year we addressed home births extensively at the 3rd Student Midwifery Forum, which took place on May 31, 2016 at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Ljubljana. As organizer Willma AK writes: “The purpose of International Home Birth Day is to inform people that birth is not a medical procedure and is not the exclusive domain of doctors. Birth is a natural event. It proceeds with support, not management.”
